EDMUND C. SHORT

Edmund is an award-winning screen actor, voiceover artist, and director from Yorkshire, UK. He has recently relocated to Sydney, Australia.

With over 15 years of professional acting experience, Edmund has appeared in numerous TV shows, films and international commercials.

Following formative lead roles in commercials for Maxibon, T-Mobile, Microsoft, and Converse, aswell as TV appearances in BBC show’s Call the Midwife, Rev, and Eastenders, Edmund had a short but pivotal role in A Royal Night Out (Lionsgate Films), starring alongside Jack Reynor and Sarah Gadon.

In 2017 he worked with Anton Corbijn for an Agent Provocateur advertisement and the following year he was cast as John Lane in AMC’s The Terror (Scott Free Productions) where he was closely directed by now Oscar winner, Edward Berger, performing scenes alongside Jared Harris, Ciaran Hinds, and Adam Nagaitis.

Edmund has travelled all around the world to film including The Bahamas, Canary Islands, Hungary, Portugal, Spain, and Italy, and In 2019 he was chosen as one of only two British actors to film supporting roles in Poland for Polish feature film Below The Surface (Orzel: Ostatni Patrol).

2022 saw Edmund head to Mont St. Michel in Normandy, France, to perform a co-lead role in feature film Tide, and soon after flew to Qatar to feature in a commercial for Qatar Airways.

In 2023 he appeared as Sam the estate agent in Channel 4 comedy Hullraisers, directed by Ian Fitzgibbon and later that year headed up to the Scotland to film the award-winning long form short film, The Lies of Our Confines. The following year, he picked up the Best Actor award at Puerto Aventuras International Film Festival for his lead role in the award-winning short film Dating Audrey, shot entirely in Paris.

Edmund has recently filmed roles for multiple feature films, short films, and commercials, all to be released later this year or next.

As a voice actor Edmund has voiced various TV/Radio commercials, video games, animations and corporate videos working with brands such as Amazon, Spotify, Pokemon Go!, Guardian, Lucky Saint, DeWalt, KPMG, Elavon, and the Football Association. Since 2021 he has continued to voice numerous characters for A Day in Their Life, the world’s first audioplay of the Beatles story, and most recently Many Pets: Pet Insurance, for their TV/Radio/online commercials.

For Directing, writing, and editing, Edmund has collected muiltples awards for his debut short film, In Isolation, and is currently in post-production of his next written/directed short film, Brother.
